Dan Foliart
From the blue collar world of "Roseanne" to the heartwarming drama "Seventh Heaven", Dan Foliart's music has flavored every human emotion. Raised in Oklahoma to a prominent trial lawyer, Dan attended Amherst College to follow in his father's footsteps, but by his junior year he succumbed to his true passion, music.
Transferring to the University of Southern California Dan quickly got down to business, scoring his first feature "The Only Way Home" with Tom Shapiro. After returning to Amherst to receive his B.A., he once again ventured west, teaming with Howard Pearl to score his first television series "Angie". "Happy Day" "Laverne & Shirley", "Mary", "Joanie Loves Chachi", "Beverly Hills 90210" and many others soon followed suite.
Using his songwriting melodic capabilities, Dan has also written many of the best-remembered television themes of the 1980's and 90's - "Home Improvement", "Roseanne", "Bosom Buddies", and "Carol & Company" are just a few. His work has been recognized with numerous awards and Emmy nominations.
The State of Oklahoma commissioned Dan to write an orchestral piece for the Centennial of the Land Run of 1889. "Oklahoma Trilogy" is a tribute to Dan's boyhood home and is still performed throughout the state today. Read more on Last.fm.
